Berewick is a sprawling community in the Lake Wylie area. There are nine different villages within Berewick with a different builder for each one. Home sizes range from 1,700 to over 4,000 square feet. Two of the nine areas feature townhomes/condos that range from 1,400 to 1,800 square feet. Berewick has a town center in its future with stores, office park and restaurants on-site. Berewick features an Olympic swimming pool, club house with on-site activities director and fitness center, sidewalks, walking trails, parks and common open space. The Berewick playground has facilities for basketball and volleyball. Berewick residents are now able to take advantage of Berewick Elementary which has just opened it's doors for the 2009/2010 school year. There are also plans for a Mecklenberg County district park. Berewick has quick access to I-485 and onto I-77 or I-85 within 5-miles. Berewick to Uptown Charlotte is only about nine miles. The Charlotte Douglas Airport is also less than five miles from Berewick. The natural beauty of the Berewick is enhanced through Berewick's partnership with Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Recently named one of the nation's "20 Great Gardens" by HGTV, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden experts are working with Berewick to feature special planting areas that will work to educate and enhance the Berewick community with species native to North Carolina.
